
Women's Basketball to Face No. 13 Kansas State in St. Joseph

Columbia, Mo. - University of Missouri Women's Basketball will travel to St. Joseph, Mo. for a matchup against No. 13 Kansas State (8-1, 0-0 Big 12) at 5 p.m. Saturday in Civic Arena. The contest will air on ESPN+.
Mizzou (7-3, 0-0 SEC) has won back-to-back games after defeating Missouri State, 81-63, on Wednesday. The final tally marked the fifth time the Tigers have scored 80-plus points in a contest this season.
Mizzou also out-rebounded the Bears 44-36, which notched their third-straight game with 40 rebounds or more and their seventh time this season securing 40-plus boards.
The Tigers pushed past Missouri State with double-double performances from sophomore guard Ashton Judd and senior guard Mama Dembele. Judd tallied 20 points and 10 rebounds with Dembele adding 10 points along with 12 assists.
Dembele's passing total moved her into eighth place on the program's all-time assist leaderboard. She stands just one behind Latoya Bond (2002-06) for seventh.
Graduate forward Hayley Frank had a solid outing with 14 points and nine rebounds. This marked her eighth double-digit scoring game in Missouri's nine games this season, including the Tigers' last seven contests.
Senior guard Abby Feit also added 13 points on 6-8 shooting for Mizzou.
Kansas State enters its matchup against Mizzou looking to continue a strong start to the season, with their only loss this year coming against No. 4 Iowa. On Wednesday, the Wildcats defeated McNeese State, 101-39, with their highest scoring total of the season.
The Wildcat's performance against the Cowgirls was sparked by senior guard Gabby Gregory who scored 16 points in only 15 minutes of play.
Kansas State is coached by Jeff Mittie, who has guided the program to seven postseason appearances and four NCAA Tournament appearances in 10 seasons with the team.
The Wildcats roster is headlined by senior center Ayoke Lee, who leads the team with 18.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. Junior guard Serena Sundell adds 9.9 points and 4.6 assists per game.
Kansas State leads the all-time series against the Tigers, 45-38, but Missouri has won the last three outings.
The matchup will mark Missouri's first game against a ranked opponent this season. The Tigers are 34-150 (.163) all-time against AP Top-15 teams and 4-18 all-time against the No. 13 ranked team in the country.
