ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
• Mississippi State owns a 13-15 record this season with a 5-10 mark in SEC play.
• The Bulldogs have lost their last two games, both on the road to South Carolina and Alabama.
• Josh Hubbard leads MSU with 21.6 points and 3.6 assists per game. Jayden Epps is second with 14.0 points and 2.2 assists.
• Achor Achor has a team-best 6.6 rebounds.

SERIES HISTORY
• Mississippi State owns a 14-9 advantage in 23 meetings between the two schools.
• After MSU won seven-straight in the series from 2019 to 2023, Mizzou has won four of the last five.
• The schools met earlier this season with Mizzou posting an 84-79 home win. Mark Mitchell led MU with 19 points, seven boards and four assists.
• While Mississippi State is 9-2 at home versus Mizzou, the Tigers ended an eight-game losing streak at MSU last season with an 88-61 win.
RESUME METRICS
• Mizzou aims to continue to build a strong resume for the postseason as February wraps up.
• The Tigers rank seventh in the SEC and 35th in the nation in the key metric of Wins Above Bubble this season and No. 34 in strength of record.
• Mizzou also owns a 5-5 mark in quad one games this season. MU is one of 21 schools with at least five wins and a .500 record against Q1 schools.
• Since the return of two starters to the lineup in January, Mizzou has also seen its NET ranking rise from No. 94 to No. 58 (up 36 spots).
• The Tigers are targeting a second-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament (and a third bid in four years under Gates) – MU last made back-to-back tournaments with five straight from 2009-13.
SEC TOURNAMENT POSSIBILITIES
• With three games left in the regular season, the Tigers currently sit in a four-way tie for fifth place with a 9-6 conference record.
• Mizzou would be the No. 5 seed by virtue of its 3-0 record versus tied teams (Vanderbilt, Kentucky and Texas A&M).
• The Tigers can still finish anywhere from second to 10th in the final standings.
ALL-AROUND LEADER IN MITCHELL
• The team's top threat remains Mark Mitchell as he's the team's all-around leader in 2025-26.
• Mitchell leads Mizzou in points (17.4), rebounds (5.4) and assists (3.8) this season.
• He is aiming to become just the second player in school history to lead the Tigers in all three categories, joining Albert White in 1998-99.
MR. VERSATILE, MARK MITCHELL
• Mark Mitchell and his all-around game has been on display throughout the season.
• Mitchell is just one of seven players in the nation to have totaled 475 points, 150 rebounds and 100 assists during the 2025-26 campaign.
• Mitchell is also aiming to be the first Tiger to tally 17 points, five boards and three assists since Big Eight Player of the Year Anthony Peeler during the 1991-92 season.
SURGING T.O. BARRETT
• There might not be a more improved player in the SEC this season than T.O. Barrett.
• In Tuesday's win over No. 22 Tennessee, Barrett scored a career-best 28 points, making 12 of his 17 field-goal attempts.
• Barrett has scored at least 10 points in nine of the last 12 games – tallying 14.0 points during that span. He scored in double figures just once in his first 35 career contests.
• In 27 games overall as a sophomore, Barrett is averaging 8.8 points, 2.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds.
BURNING LOVE
• Another player that has taken advantage of increased minutes as of late is Trent Burns.
• The redshirt freshman has totaled 48 minutes in the last three games – he played 30 minutes in the first 12 SEC games of the season.
• In the last three contests, Burns has totaled 13 points, 14 rebounds, four steals and three blocks.
• In Tuesday's win, he matched a career-best seven boards, while adding a personal-best four steals.
