- Are there any differences between playing tennis in the United States and in Canada?
- "One of the biggest differences is the team environment and the level of competition week in and week out. In the US, especially in college tennis, matches feel intense and energetic. With large crowds, dual match formats, and team momentum playing a huge role, it has pushed me to compete with more emotion and consistency."
- With a strong freshman season, which singles match was the most memorable for you?
- "I would say my most memorable singles match was against UPenn, and it was the first college tournament I had ever played. I had won the first set and lost the second, but I remember that match being extremely long; just the energy was very different, and it was very new for me. Despite the loud noises and everything I wasn't used to, I was able to come back and win the third set. That was a really good win for me, really exciting, and made me excited for the future of college tennis."
- What made you want to play tennis in the United States?
- "I wanted to combine high-level tennis with strong academics, and the US college system offers that balance better than anywhere else. The change to travel and compete in the SEC to grow as both a student and an athlete made the decision really easy for me."
- What was your favorite part of your freshman year season?
- "My favorite part was definitely building relationships with my teammates and learning how to compete for something bigger than just myself. Every match felt very meaningful because we were all fighting for the team, and it made the season really unforgettable."
- What was it like to represent Canada in the IC Rod Laver Junior Challenge when you competed against the United States?
- "It was an incredible honor to represent Canada on an international stage. Competing against top American players gave me a lot of perspective on my level to keep improving mentally and physically."
- What is your favorite thing about Canada and why?
- "My favorite thing about Canada is the diversity and sense of home I feel there. Growing up in Toronto exposed me to so many different cultures and experiences, and it's a place that keeps me grounded, no matter where tennis takes me."
