• No. 59 Mizzou (13-7, 1-6 SEC) will hit the road for its Louisiana tour with a doubleheader on Tuesday, March 27. Mizzou will face Grambling State at 10 a.m. and New Orleans at 3 p.m., both to be played on the at University Tennis Center on the University of New Orleans campus.
• Mizzou enters the doubleheader ranked No. 59 in the Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings. Mizzou entered the rankings for the first time in two years on March 1, coming in at No. 57. The Tigers have posted 13 wins this season, the most wins in program history since 2005 when the Tigers won 15 contests.
• Junior Bea Machado Santos has contributed solid production at the No. 1 singles position, producing an 11-6 record at the position in spring play, and a 12-6 overall singles record in the spring season. Santos owns two wins over ranked opponents this season, defeating then-No. 12 ranked and reigning SEC player of the Year Brooke Austin (Florida), 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (8) on March 5 and then-No. 21 ranked Andie Dikosavlijevic (Auburn), 7-6 (7-5), 6-3, on March 18. Santos is ranked No. 72 in the Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Singles Rankings.
• Senior Kelli Hine picked up a 6-2, 6-7, 6-3 win over then-No. 31 ranked Andie Daniell (Alabama) on March 20, her first win over a ranked opponent this season. Hine registered career win No. 100 on Feb. 19 in a 6-1, 6-0, singles win over Mercer's Xandra Fougner.
Tigers to Watch
Bea Machado Santos
• Junior Bea Machado Santos has 94 career wins to her credit, including a 52-23 mark in doubles play.
• Santos earned her first singles ranking of her career, coming in at No. 98 in the March 8 edition of the Oracle/ITA Singles Rankings. She is now ranked No. 72 another win over a ranked opponent.
Clare Raley
• Sophomore Clare Raley clinched Mizzou's first SEC win of the season in a 7-6, 6-3 win over Alabama's Aryn Greene at the No. 6 position.
• Raley is 6-3 in doubles play this spring season and 16-8 overall, including a win at the No. 2 position with Kelli Hine vs. Auburn.
Meet the Tigers
Kelli Hine
• Recorded her 100th career win on Feb. 19 in a 6-1, 6-0, singles win over Mercer's Xandra Fougner. For her career, Hine is 57-52 in singles play and 48-40 in doubles play.
• Qualified for the 2015 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships in October, which hosts the top tennis players in the NCAA for a preseason tournament.
Brianna Lashway
• 10-9 mark in singles play during the spring season, including a 6-4 mark at the No. 3 position.
• Took home No. 1 doubles play title at 2015 Mizzou Invite
• Has a knack for dominating the fall season as she collected four event championships last year with two singles titles and two doubles titles
Brittany Lashway
• Leads Mizzou in singles wins with 22, improving her career singles record to 38-31
• Took home two event titles at the 2015 Mizzou Invite, securing a No. 6 singles title and a No. 3 doubles title with partner Clare Raley.
Clare Raley
• Clinched Mizzou's first SEC win of the season over Alabama at No. 6 position
• Took home No. 3 doubles title at 2015 Mizzou Invite
• Was the first ever Top-50 recruit in Mizzou tennis history. She was a five-star recruit for six years according to TennisRecruiting.net and was ranked as high as No. 35 in the nation within the Class of 2015.
Bea Machado Santos
• Defeated then-No. 12-ranked and 2015 SEC Player of the Year Brooke Austin, 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-8) on March 5. Owns a 11-4 record at No. 1 singles, 12-4 overall in spring play.
• Her .614 career winning percentage is a team-high (94-59), highlighted by a dominant 52-23 doubles mark.
Cassidy Spearman
• Elected 2015-16 team captain
• Coming off a career-best season playing most of the year at No. 2 singles in the vaunted SEC
• Racked up a career-high 13 singles wins
Turner Yates
• Earned first singles victory of spring season in 6-2, 6-3, win over Faty Khamissi (Missouri State) on Feb. 6.
• Went 4-3 in singles play over fall season
• Played on the same travel circuit as Clare Raley during prep career
