
Tennis Heads South for SEC Play

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou tennis travels to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama on Friday, March 13, at 5 p.m., CT, before heading to Starkville, Mississippi, to take on Mississippi State on Sunday, March 15, at 11 a.m., CT.
Missouri is 9-7 overall and 0-5 in the Southeastern Conference heading into the weekend, after drawing two losses at home against No. 1 Georgia and No. 11 South Carolina. Sophomore Gian Octa delivered a strong performance against the Gamecocks, earning the first point for the Tigers, 6-3, 6-3. Senior Andrea Artimedi followed Octa, securing the second single point for Mizzou, 7-5, 7-5.
The Black and Gold are 2-12 against the Crimson Tide, earning their last win on April 8, 2017, with a final score of 4-3. Mizzou hopes to extend its win streak against the Bulldogs after a most recent 4-3 win against Mississippi State on March 2, 2025.
Alabama and Mississippi State are each coming off a 0-2 week in Texas after both programs took on the Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies. They both head to their respective home courts for a four-match home stint.
UP NEXT
Missouri heads to Normal, Illinois, for a midweek matchup against the Illinois State Redbirds. The match will take place on Wednesday, March 18, at 12:30 p.m. CT.
